Polly grew up in a suburb of Chicago before attending Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI. In her senior year she transferred to Seattle University, due to family, where she earned her Bachelors of Science in Nursing in 2003. Polly began her nursing career as an inpatient nurse in Neurosurgery at Harborview Medical Center. From there she took a position at Naval Hospital Bremerton to work inpatient General Surgery for 4 years. Polly’s main role at this hospital revolved around her responsibilities as day shift charge nurse. It was during this time, she earned her medical-surgical certification. Additionally, while at the Naval Hospital, Polly was appointed to serve as the national representative to the US Surgeon General for multi-service care in the Navy. Family ultimately drew her back to the Seattle area and led her to a clinic position in Neurosurgery, at the Swedish Neuroscience Institute. She has now worked with Dr. Oskouian for the last 5 years.
