Dr. Rafa Blanco is a Consultant in Anaesthesia & Interventional Pain Management at Zayed Military Hospital. He is the founder and honorary president of the London Society of Regional Anaesthesia. He is a author of 2 books, 14 book chapters, 5 first prizes, 53 magazine papers and letters, 14 communications, 139 international conferences and courses, and 189 international lectures and workshops in different fields of anaesthesia but especially in regional anaesthesia. His main areas of interest are Ultrasound-guided regional anaesthesia, ambulatory acute pain relief devices like elastomeric or electronic pumps, complex reconstructive breast surgery for cancer and plastic surgery. His subspecialties are Orthopaedics, Trauma, Vascular, ENT, Urology, General Surgery, Gynaecology and Obstetrics.
