Rajiv Agarwal MD, MBBS, FASN is a tenured Professor of Medicine at Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, IN. Dr. Agarwal earned his medical degree from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi and completed his residency in Internal Medicine and Nephrology at the University of Texas, Southwestern Dallas. In July 1997, he joined Indiana University as Clinical Assistant Professor, later promoted to Professor of Medicine, receiving the Indiana University Trustee's teaching award and the young scholar award of the American Society of Hypertension. Dr. Agarwal is an internationally recognized leader in the area of hypertension in hemodialysis patients, a continuously funded initiative since 2003 by the National Institutes of Health.
