Ramdas G. Pai, M.D., is a professor at the University of California, Riverside School of Medicine and director of the school's Cardiovascular Fellowship Program as well as the director of cardiac imaging at the St. Bernardine Medical Center in San Bernardino, California.

Dr. Pai began his medical career in India, earning his M.B.B.S. and M.D. at Kasturba Medical College in Manipal, India, then went on to complete residencies in India, the United Kingdom, and New York. He joined the staff at Loma Linda University Medical Center in 1987, eventually becoming the director of integrated cardiac imaging. During his tenure, he helped to conceive and build the LLU Heart and Imaging Center. He joined the St. Bernardine Medical Center as director of cardiac imaging in 2015.

Dr. Pai has been a professor of medicine at both the Loma Linda University School of Medicine and the USC-Keck School of Medicine. He has written six books and contributed to more than 200 publications. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, a fellow of the American College of Cardiology, a fellow and vice president of the International College of Angiology, a fellow of the American Society of Echocardiography, and a founding member of the Society of Cardiovascular MRI. He is also a member of the research committee of the American Society of Echocardiography and Society of Cardiac MRI.

Dr. Pai's recent research included a grant to research stereotactic proton beam ablation of cardiac arrhythmias. He has also been a co-investigator on an NIH-funded grant for the STICH CMR Core lab and a PI on NSF funded Smart and Connected Hospital program.
