Raul Vasquez-Castellanos, M.D., director of complex spine surgery at Baptist Health’s Miami Neuroscience Institute. He is a neurosurgeon specializing in the surgical treatment of complex spinal conditions including tumors, degenerative spine diseases, spinal deformities, scoliosis, kyphoscoliosis, and neurotrauma. He has unique expertise in minimally invasive techniques that result in less pain and complications in a quicker recovery time. Dr. Vasquez-Castellanos serves as an editorial reviewer for World Neurosurgery Journal and Operative Neurosurgery Journal. He is widely published in peer-reviewed medical journals and has spoken at national and international scientific symposiums. His extensive teaching experience includes serving as an assistant professor of neurosurgery at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine.
