Rebecca Ann Brooks MD

Dr. Rebecca Brooks is an expert in the comprehensive medical and surgical care of women with uterine, ovarian, cervical, vulvar and vaginal cancers and gestational trophoblastic disease. She has special interests in radical pelvic surgery and upper abdominal debulking for advanced cancer as well as robotic surgery. She also has experience with the administration of heated intra-abdominal chemotherapy (HIPEC). Dr. Brooks is highly skilled in systemic therapy for gynecologic malignancies, including standard chemotherapy and the use of novel biologic agents. She is committed to maximizing the health and quality of life for cancer survivors and those affected by the disease.

Dr. Brooks' academic focus is the education of gynecologic oncology trainees. She completed a fellowship in medical education at the University of Chicago and functions as a fellowship program director and board examiner. Dr. Brooks' research interests include mechanisms that affect the likelihood of metastases in endometrial cancer, various clinical topics related to gynecologic oncology, and education research such as mentorship and support mechanisms for trainees and junior faculty. She is also active in clinical trials.
