Rebecca Hedrick, MD, is the Interim Director for Consultation Liaison Psychiatry and an Assistant Clinical Professor at Cedars Sinai Medical Center. Dr. Hedrick co-authored the chapter “Practice What You Preach” in the book Becoming Mindful: Integrating Mindfulness Practice into Your Psychiatric Practice published by the APA in 2016.
Dr. Hedrick is board-certified in both General Psychiatry and in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. She presented a course on mindfulness at 3 national conferences in 2017: the American Psychiatric Association Conference Masters Course; the American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry; and the Academy of Psychosomatic Medicine Conference. After graduating Magna Cum Laude from Vanderbilt University with a Bachelor’s of Arts degree and double major in Psychology and Spanish.
Dr. Hedrick went on to earn her medical degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine. She completed her psychiatry residency and fellowship training at the University of California, Irvine. During her academic career as an Assistant Clinical Professor at UC Irvine, Dr. Hedrick served as the Associate Residency Training Director and the Medical Director for Consultation-Liaison and Emergency Psychiatry.
