Rebecca P. Henderson BSDH, MS

Rebecca Henderson joined The College of Dentistry faculty as an assistant professor part-time in 2006. In addition to teaching from 2001-2016, she practiced clinical dental hygiene and facilitated the marketing and continuing education programs in a private specialty Periodontics and Dental Implant practice. She began a full-time faculty appointment in 2016 and is Course Director for: Dental Anatomy, Intro to Periodontology, Oral Health and Disease Prevention, Periodontal Therapies, Pain Management and Practice Management teaching BSDH and BS dental hygiene students, as well as periodontal MS students.

She is the recipient of the 2018 Postle Teaching Award, a 2017 Student Government Association - Best Didactic Instructor award, and was a Class of 2015 - Outstanding Instructor award recipient. Ms. Henderson is President-Elect of the Dental Alumni Society and a member of the ADA’s National Dental Hygiene Board Exam -- Test Construction Committee, as a periodontal content expert.
