Renee M. Tholey MD, FACS

Renee M. Tholey, MD, is a bariatric surgeon and general surgeon with expertise in minimally invasive surgery and robotics. She is board-certified in general surgery. Accredited by the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, Einstein Bariatrics offers a variety of surgical weight-loss options, including minimally invasive gastric bypass and gastric sleeve surgery. Dr. Tholey earned her medical degree from Jefferson Medical College and completed her internship and residency in General Surgery at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. She went on to complete an Advanced GI and Minimally Invasive Surgery fellowship at NY Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical College in New York City. During her fellowship, she served as a clinical instructor in Surgery in the Department of Surgery at Weill Cornell Medical College as well as an Assistant Attending Surgeon.
