Dr. Richard Roden is a professor of pathology, gynecology and obstetrics, and oncology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. His research focuses on the pathology of cervical and ovarian cancer. Dr. Roden’s team is currently engaged in research to prevent cervical cancer through the development of a preventative vaccine that is active against all oncogenic types of human papillomavirus (HPV). The team is also focused on identifying novel tumor antigens of significance in the biology of ovarian cancer that are applicable as biomarkers for early detection or targets for immunotherapy.
