Robert J. Blok Jr DO

Robert Blok, D.O. is an Orthopedic Spine Surgeon at Laser Spine Institute Cincinnati. He is certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgeons. As an orthopedic spine surgeon, he treats conditions pertaining to the musculoskeletal system of the spine, such as damage to the discs, joints or vertebrae.

Dr. Blok joined Laser Spine Institute Cincinnati as an Orthopedic Spine Surgeon with exceptional experience in the field of minimally invasive spine surgery. During his medical career, he became fascinated with the idea of minimally invasive spine surgery. He had heard about the advantages this type of procedure could have for patients with chronic neck and back pain, and he had to witness how it was performed.

This passion led him to Germany where he was able to learn the intricate techniques of minimally invasive spine surgery. Because of the knowledge and experience he attained there, he was able to come back to the United States and share his expertise by teaching fellow surgeons. Eventually, he was placed as the Chief of Surgery at Clark Memorial Hospital.

As a proponent of holistic treatment, Dr. Blok believes patients should allow the body the opportunity to heal through natural means. However, when this is ineffective, he recommends the advantages of minimally invasive spine surgery to address the conditions of the spine.
