Dr. Roberto Rodriguez Rubio is the director and principal investigator of the Skull Base and Cerebrovascular Laboratory. He is a neurosurgeon specializing in neurovascular, white matter, and skull base neuroanatomy. He is trained in creating 3D anatomical volumetric models and virtual neurosurgical simulations. Dr. Rodriguez Rubio oversees the activity of the laboratory and coaches the research fellows.

As a neurosurgical resident at Hospital Civil de Guadalajara "Fray Antonio Alcalde," he actively participated in Guadalajara's Mission Brain with neurosurgical teams from UCSF and Johns Hopkins. He had the opportunity to attend several cadaveric courses in the United States – further igniting his passion for cadaveric dissections in the hopes of improving results in the operating room. He has an extensive observership experience in countries including the United States, Germany, France, and England.
