Dr Farah is Board certified by the American Boards of Pediatrics and Pediatric Hematology/Oncology and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is an Associate Professor at the University of Balamand/Saint-George Hospital University Medical Center and a Founding Faculty of the Lebanese American University (LAU).
Dr. Farah obtained her medical degree from St Joseph University of Beirut. She completed her pediatric internship at Columbia University in New York, and her residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. She completed her fellowship in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. Dr Farah served as a chief fellow at the Children's Hospital of Dallas and worked in leukemia research for two years in the laboratory of Dr Ellen Vitetta.
Dr Farah served as a president of the Lebanese Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Group and is currently on the executive committee of the Lebanese Cancer Society. She is the President and a founding member of the association CHANCE (CHildren AgaiNst CancEr) a non-profit-organization that supports children with cancer and their families.
