Rowan Pritchard-Jones is a Plastic Surgeon at Whiston Hospital and Lecturer at Liverpool University with academic and clinical interest in malignant melanoma. He has trained in the North West of England, as well as completing a Skin Cancer Fellowship at Memorial Sloane Kettering New York and Johns Hopkins Baltimore on a BAPRAS Travelling Fellowship. He leads a research group with special interest in melanoma and chemo-resistance – in particular understanding why patients become resistant to the BRAF inhibitor vemurafenib, and how to overcome this.
