Sameer Ahmed MD

Dr. Sameer Ahmed is Chairman of the Department of Endovascular and Image-Guided Surgery at Insight Hospital & Medical Center Chicago. His areas of expertise include peripheral arterial disease, superficial and deep venous disease, limb salvage, embolization, and interventional oncology.

Dr. Ahmed received his medical degree with distinction from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland. Dr. Ahmed completed an Internal Medicine internship at Yale University (Yale-New Haven Hospital), followed by a residency at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. He completed a Vascular and interventional radiology fellowship at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, where he specialized in the latest minimally invasive and endovascular treatments.
