Dr. Saumyajit Basu, MBBS, MS (ORTH), DNB (ORTH), FRCS is a Head of the Department of Spine Surgery, Park Clinic, and Kothari Medical Center, Kolkata, INDIA. He has a busy spine practice in the city and is the pioneer in developing spine surgery as a separate subspecialty in this part of the country. He started his spine practice in 2003 after completing his spine training abroad and has completed about 1500 spine surgeries since then. His special interest is spinal deformities and the cervical spine. He has extensive academic involvement in various spine-related societies nationally and internationally.
