Scott P. Ryan BS, MD

Scott grew up in Connecticut and then went off to the University of Michigan where he obtained a BS in Cellular Molecular Biology. He then returned to New England to attend medical school at Tufts University School of Medicine. He caught the "trauma bug" during his residency at Boston University Medical Center. Scott (affectionately known in residency as "Scooter") completed a trauma fellowship at R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore. He returned to Boston to become the first fellowship trained traumatologist at Tufts Medical Center where he has been since 2011. Scott loves teaching and considers the crowning moment of his career when his first class of residents honored him with the Tufts Residency Teaching Award.
