Sedat Tatar MD, FACS, FEBOPRAS

Dr. Sedat Tatar MD, FACS, FEBOPRAS completed his medical education at Gazi University in 2008 and started his specialization training in the Department of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery at Gazi University, which was his first choice in the Medical Specialization Exam (TUS) and he became a Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeon specialist at 2015.

Alongside his national board certification provided by Turkish Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons, he passed the European Board of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (EBOPRAS) exam and completed the requirements of the European Board of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery and received the title of “Fellow” of the European Board of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (FEBOPRAS). In 2018 he won the European Association of Plastic Surgeons, Young Plastic Surgeon Scholarship award (EURAPS YPSS) and worked on breast reconstruction and aesthetic breast surgery with Prof.Jian Farhadi, at Guy’s and St Thomas Hospital, Department of Plastic Surgery in London, United Kingdom. In 2019 he was inducted into the American College of Surgeons and became a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS). This was the milestone of his surgical career and he is the youngest Plastic Surgeon in Turkey who has this title. As a result of his scientific research, presentations at international and national congresses, and lectures he received the title of Associate Professor in 2020.

His research interests are Plastic Surgery, Reconstructive Surgery, Aesthetic Surgery, Facial Plastic Surgery, Microsurgery, Cosmetic Surgery, Head and Neck Surgery, Maxillofacial Surgery, and Breast Surgery.
