Sergejs Nikisins MD

Dr. Sergejs Nikisins is a chief laboratory specialist at the Riga East Clinical University Hospital and head of the National Microbiology Reference Laboratory, Riga, Latvia. He is the coordinator of the COVID-19 laboratory network at the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Latvia (since March 2020). From 2007-2013, he served at NRL as a Biosafety Officer and Head of the "Dangerous Infectious Diseases Diagnostic Division" (BSL-3 laboratory).
