Shahida Khan MSC, PhD

Dr. Shahida Khan is a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Pune, India in the year 1992. With varied teaching and research experience in the past, she joined King Fahd Medical Research Center in 2011, King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah as an Associate Professor. She has been involved in various applied research projects, and has successfully patented my work “Omega-3 fatty acid compositions with Honey” vide patent no. WO2005120174A2, WO2005120174A3; US/2007/0243304 A1. Her research was pivotal and found commercial application in the development of Omega-3 eggs & honey, when in India. She recently completed a large grant from King Abdulaziz City for a Science and Technology funded project (AT-35- 25) titled – “Resolving malnutrition status in children affected with sickle cell disease for alleviating health complications” with great success. She hopes to apply her holistic research experience in pursuit of good health for one and all.
