Silvia Muro PhD

Dr. Muro received her PhD in Molecular Biology from the University Autonoma of Madrid, Spain, in 1999. She had an extensive training in medical, biomolecular, and drug targeting research including fellowships and postdoctoral appointments in Spain, Canada, Denmark and the USA, where most recently she held a faculty appointment in the Department of Pharmacology in the School of Medicine of the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Muro is currently an Assistant Professor in the University of Maryland at College Park, with a joint appointment in the Fischell Department of Bioengineering and the Institute for Bioscience and Biotechnology Research.
