Stephanie Parks Taylor, MD, MSc is a Professor of Internal Medicine and Chief of the Division of Hospital Medicine. Dr. Taylor received her BA from Wake Forest University in North Carolina, and her MD and MSc (in Clinical and Translational Science) from the University of South Florida. She completed her residency in internal medicine and training in hospice and palliative care, also at the University of South Florida.
After completing her residency, Dr. Taylor joined the faculty at the University of South Florida, where she was Director of Clinical Research in the Division of Hospital Medicine and Medical Director of the Acute Care for Elderly Unit at Tampa General Hospital. Dr. Taylor then moved back to North Carolina, where she was promoted to Professor of Internal Medicine at Wake Forest University School of Medicine and Atrium Health. Additionally, she was Co-Director of the Atrium Health Acute Care Outcomes Research Network, Director of Clinical Research, and Director of Resident Research for the Department of Internal Medicine. In 2023, Dr. Taylor was named the Division Chief of Hospital Medicine at Michigan Medicine.
