Tae Won Kim MD, PhD

Tae Won Kim, is a professor in the department of oncology and Director of the Clinical Research Center at ASAN Medical Center University of Ulsan College of Medicine, Seoul, Korea.

Professor Kim is a board certified medical oncologist, with a subspecialty in haematology-oncology at Seoul National University College of Medicine. He received his undergraduate and medical degrees from Seoul National University where he also completed his internship. He then completed a residency and fellowship at ASAN Medical Center, University of Ulsan College of Medicine, where he received his Master and PhD degrees. He also received a postdoctoral fellowship from the department of haematology/oncology at the University of Chicago, Chicago, USA. Professor Kim has published more than 200 papers in international journals, including The Lancet Oncology. His areas of interest in research are in clinical and translational research of colorectal cancer, phase 1 trials, and biomarkers of anticancer drugs.
