Tatiana Havryliuk, MD, is the Director of Emergency Ultrasound at The Brooklyn Hospital Center. Previously, she worked at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center as an ultrasound faculty member. Dr. Havryliuk received her medical degree from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and completed her emergency medicine training at Mount Sinai Hospital. Following this, she completed a Wilderness Medicine Fellowship at the University of Colorado. Dr. Havryliuk also trained in emergency ultrasound at Mount Sinai West St. Luke’s Hospital Center. In addition to emergency ultrasound, her interests include resident education and austere medicine, the latter the practice of medicine in resource-constrained environments, whether it be the wilderness, in developing countries, or after disasters. Austere medicine improves skills in all environments.
