Dr. Tahir is a Consultant Psychiatrist at the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff, UK.

Dr Tahir is a Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists. After he completed his psychiatric training in South Wales his name was registered with the General Medical Council's Specialist Register for General Adult Psychiatry, Old Age Psychiatry with an endorsement for Consultation and Liaison Psychiatry. He is recognised under Section 12 of the Mental Health Act as having special experience in the assessment and treatment of mental disorders.
