Thomas J. Nasca MD, MACP

Dr. Thomas J. Nasca, MD, MACP, Chief Executive Officer, Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education, and Chief Executive Officer of ACGME International; Professor of Medicine (vol.), Jefferson Medical College. Dr. Nasca is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame with High Honors, is an Alpha Omega Alpha graduate of Jefferson Medical College, completed his internship, residency, and was chief medical resident at Mercy Hospital of Pittsburgh, and completed his nephrology fellowship at Brown University and Rhode Island Hospital.

Dr. Nasca has been involved in medical education since 1981. He was the Chairman and Residency Program Director of the Department of Medicine and Director of Medical Services at The Mercy Hospital of Pittsburgh.

Dr. Nasca assumed the role of Vice Chairman of the Department of Medicine of Jefferson Medical College and Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in 1992, with leadership responsibility for the medical student, residency and fellowship educational programs of the department.

Dr. Nasca was then named the Associate Dean for Education and Research for the Jefferson Health System, and Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Affiliations.
