Timothy Peters-Strickland, MD, joined OPDC in April 2012, and works as a Senior Director in Global Clinical Development, CNS. He serves as Medical/Project Lead on various CNS projects, including Abilify Maintena and Digital Medicine. Over the past 3 years, Timothy led the MAA filing for Abilify Maintena which has led to approval by the CHMP as well as multiple other countries in EU. In addition, he had led the Abilify Maintena Acute Schizophrenia program resulting in the sNDA approval in US and Canada. Timothy led the Deltoid program for Abilify Maintena resulting in approvals in the EU and US. Timothy joined OTSUKA from Covance, Inc., where he was Medical Director, Global Clinical Practice for 3.5 years.
In that role, he was the Global Lead Medical Monitor who led the study team to the positive Interim Analysis on Trial 31-07-246, led Trial 31-07-247 study to a successful completion, and worked on the NDA filing for Abilify Maintena. He has also published a book, Basic Psychopharmacology for Counselors and Psychotherapists, along with Richard Sinacola, PhD Earlier in his career, Timothy has worked in private psychiatric practice, in community mental health settings, and has been volunteer faculty at University of Southern California (USC) Department of Psychiatry. Timothy completed this Psychiatry Residency training at USC where he served as Chief Resident. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Florida in Gainesville and his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Florida State University in Tallahassee.
