Dr. Khan earned his BA in Philosophy and his BS in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior from UC Davis. He went on to earn his MD from the University of Washington with a certificate in The Underserved Pathway. Dr. Khan completed his residency training at Harbor/UCLA and an Obstetrics fellowship at CHMC/USC. He worked in South Central Los Angeles for two years and then joined faculty at Ventura in 2014.
His clinical practice includes emergency medicine, high-risk obstetrics including addiction in pregnancy, inpatient medicine, street, and international medicine, and quality improvement and scholarly activity. Khan is the Medical Director of the VC Street and Backpack medicine group, Primary Care Hepatitis C Eradication Project as well as Director of the Ventura County Addiction Medicine Specialty clinic and consultation service.
