Tom Alexander De Graaf a Principal Investigator (PI) of Brain Stimulation in Vision Research, at the section of Brain Stimulation and Cognition, Department of Cognitive Neuroscience, Faculty of Psychology and Neuroscience, Maastricht University.

Tom Alexander De Graaf is primarily interested in how the brain processes visual information. Through a complex sequence of small interactions and mechanisms, at several levels of organization, our brain finally gives us the wonderful conscious experiences we have all day long. What better way to spend your life than to try to understand that?

Tom Alexander De Graaf uses neuroimaging techniques such as fMRI, MEG, and EEG, to study these mechanisms. Tom Alexander De Graaf uses brain stimulation techniques such as TMS and tACS to modulate these mechanisms.

Tom Alexander De Graaf wants to wholeheartedly thank the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO) for supporting me over the years (e.g. Toptalent Grant 2008, Veni Grant 2013).
