Tonya Hongsermeier BS, MD, MBA

Tonya Hongsermeier, MD, MBA is currently CMIO at Lahey Health. Formerly, she was a Principal Informatician in the Clinical Informatics Research and Development group at Partners HealthCare System. She received her MD from Boston University, and practiced Internal Medicine for five years after completing her Residency in Medicine and Fellowship in Clinical Nutrition at the Deaconess Hospital. She received an MBA in Healthcare Management from Boston University in 1995.

Dr.Hongsermeier has lead the implementation of infrastructure, processes and team design for clinical knowledge management and decision support at both Cerner Corp. and Partners Healthcare in the role of Corporate Manager. In the recent years, she has served as a team lead for Knowledge Management infrastructure for the Clinical Decision Support Consortium, the Advancing Clinical Decision Support project, as well as provided informatics leadership to the Enterprise Clinical Terminology Services team.
