Tullio Ghi Born in 1973 in Cosenza, he graduated with honors in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Bologna. He later specialized with honors in Gynecology and Obstetrics at the same University. From 2000 to 2001 he spent a period of advanced training and study at the Prenatal Diagnosis and Fetal Medicine Center of King's College Hospital in London. In 2005 he obtained a Ph.D. in Prenatal Developmental Science, Fetal Diagnosis and Therapy at the University of Milan.
Tullio Ghi worked as a medical director at the Operational Unit of Gynecology and Obstetrics of the Sant'Orsola-Malpighi Polyclinic in Bologna (2005-2014). Subsequently, he lends assistance to the Obstetrics and Gynecology of the University Hospital of Parma, of which he is appointed director in March 2021. In December 2014 he was called as associate professor of Gynecology and Obstetrics for the Department of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Parma, becoming a full professor in September 2021. Since 2019 he is president of the Degree Course in Obstetrics and in 2020 he is director of the Postgraduate School of Gynecology and Obstetrics at the University of Parma.
Author of some monographs and numerous publications in prestigious scientific journals, with an H index of 35, he is the scientific director of numerous research projects in the field of prenatal diagnosis of congenital malformations, maternal-fetal medicine, and ultrasound in the delivery room. He has been awarded prizes by international scientific societies, such as the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology (ISUOG ) and the Fetal Medicine Foundation. He is part of the Scientific Committee of ISUOG and is president of the Italian Preeclampsia Association for the two-year period 2020-2021.
