Vidya V. Bhat MBBS, MD, DNB, MNAMS, FICOG

Apart from being the Medical Director at Radhakrishna Hospital, Dr Vidya Bhat is the Course Director for training courses in advanced FOGSI and ICOG recognised endoscopy training and FOGSI IVF training at Radhakrishna Multispeciality Hospital & IVF Centre since 2013. She also conducts hysteroscopy hands-on training at her centre. She has been invited to many gynaecological conferences as an honorary faculty for state and national conferences of ICOG and FOGSI, and at hospitals in Nigeria, Maldives and Sri Lanka.

Dr. Vidya Bhat has successfully conducted many live demonstrations on laparoscopy and hysteroscopy at state and national conferences. Over the years she has presented more than 30 papers and poster presentations on various subjects at both national and international conferences. Some of the topics were: gastroschisis, loop excision for chronic cervicitis, gastroenteric fistula, conjoined twins, mother and fetus. She was awarded the best paper award for ovarian drilling. She was the first in the state to conduct a workshop on laparoscopic and vaginal hysterectomy.

Dr. Vidya Bhat runs an NGO named Radhakrishna Foundation. Many free camps are conducted under its aegis, and over 100 free surgeries have been organised for underprivileged women. She has established the Nulife clinic for women above 45 years and regularly conducts free camps at her centre. She has also participated in discussions organised by media and TV Channels on current women’s health issues.
