Walter G. Park, MD, MS, is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Stanford University, and Medical Director of the Benign Pancreas Program within Stanford Health Care. He received his undergraduate degree at the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University, and his medical degree at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He completed his post-graduate training in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology at Stanford University Hospital and Clinics, where he also obtained a Masters Degree in Health Services Research. His research interests focus on clinical and translational research in pancreatic diseases with a specific interest in biomarker discovery and validation. He is a Principal Investigator in the NCI/NIDDK Consortium for the Study of Chronic Pancreatitis, Diabetes, and Pancreatic Cancer, and in the NCI Pancreatic Cancer Detection Consortium.
