Dr. William A. Zoghbi is the Elkins Family Distinguished Chair in Cardiac Health, chair of the Department of Cardiology at Houston Methodist DeBakey Heart and Vascular Center, and Professor of Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College and the Institute of Academic Medicine.

As an internationally renowned cardiologist and researcher, Dr. Zoghbi has dedicated his career to advancements in clinical cardiology, enhancing non-invasive approaches to assessing and managing cardiac disease through cardiovascular imaging. His areas of expertise include valvular heart disease, coronary artery disease, and heart failure, emphasizing a patient-centered approach to medicine and general cardiology.
