Dr. Partin is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. After completing internal medicine training at Emory University, he spent six years active duty in the United States Air Force as a general internist and flight surgeon. He joined the Emory University School of Medicine faculty in 1992 and has served as a hospitalist at Emory University Hospital, attending at Grady Memorial Hospital, and supervised medical students and residents in the in and out-‐patient settings. Currently, his practice is confined to the outpatient setting.
More recently, he has been Director of the Emory Special Diagnostic Services Clinic, an enterprise dedicated to attempting to solve diagnostic problems in patients with unexplained symptoms and undiagnosed illness. He has attended three meetings of the International Conference on Rare and Undiagnosed Diseases. Functioning as a Senior Aviation Medical Examiner for the FAA, he continues his role and interest in aviation medicine.
