Yael Halaas MD, FACS

Dr. Yael Halaas, MD, FACS is recognized as one of the best facial plastic surgeons in Westchester. Dr. Halaas has made a name for herself as a clinical investigator for cutting-edge aesthetic treatments, and she combines an intuitive understanding of facial symmetry, proportions, and classic beauty with a meticulous dedication to detail. Along with her own advanced medical education and continued pursuit of specialized training, Dr. Halaas often speaks at local and international conferences, broadening the field of aesthetics. She has trained thousands of physicians in her surgical and non-surgical techniques such as lasers, injectables, rhinoplasty, and hair restoration.

As a top female plastic surgeon leading facial plastic surgery in a male-dominated industry, Dr. Halaas received her undergraduate degree in Art History from Columbia College in New York and graduated in the top ten percent of her medical school class at Cornell University Medical College, with the prestigious distinction of membership in the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. She also earned the American Medical Women’s Association award as part of her membership in the top five percent of all graduating physicians during her graduation year.

Dr. Halaas spent her general surgery internship and otolaryngology residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York, where she is currently an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology, and was awarded a fellowship through the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Halaas frequently enjoys teaching seminars and lectures for both residents at Einstein and other surgeons regarding injectable fillers, rhinoplasty, and new technologies to improve facial rejuvenation with or without surgery.
