Yan Wang MD, PhD

Dr. Yan Wang got his MD degree from China Medical University at Shenyang, China, and completed his Dermatology training at the first affiliated hospital of China Medical University, where he went on working as an attending physician and Instructor of Dermatology until he came to USA to work on his PhD degree at West Virginia University, major in Exercise Physiology, mainly focusing on muscle stem cell biology.
He completed his PhD study and joined the department of Biomedical Engineering at Cleveland Clinic Lerner Research Institute as a postdoctoral fellow. His current research focus at Cleveland Clinic is to investigate the role of hyaluronan and other components of extracellular matrix in regulating the processes of skin wound healing and epidermal carcinogenesis.
