Ype Elgersma PhD

Prof. dr. Ype Elgersma started his laboratory in 2002 at Erasmus University Medical Center Rotterdam. The main focus of the laboratory is to understand the mechanism underlying neurodevelopmental disorders, with a specific interest in neurodevelopmental disorders belonging to the RAS-ERK-MTOR signaling pathway (including NF1), To translate the findings to the clinic, Ype Elgersma is founder and scientific director of the ENCORE expertise center for neurodevelopmental disorders, which includes the national referral center for Neurofibromatosis, Costello Syndrome, CFC, and several other syndromes.
