Dr. Fanari joined Heartland Cardiology on July 25, 2017. He is the Director of Structural Heart Disease at Wesley Medical Center and Interventional Cardiologist/Endovascular Specialist at Heartland Cardiology. He is Board-Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases, Interventional Cardiology, Echocardiography, Cardiac CT, Nuclear Cardiology, Vascular Medicine, and Endovascular Medicine.

Dr. Fanari is proficient in performing complex PCI-CHIP, Advanced endovascular interventions (TEVAR, EVAR carotid, renal, iliac, femoral, popliteal & BTK) as well as advanced structural interventions (TAVR, TMVR, MitraClip, Watchman, PFO/ASD & PVL closure).

He received multiple research awards including ACC Young Investigator Awards (YIA) finalist in 2015 and 11th Annual Northwestern Cardiovascular YIA 2015, ACC 18 Best Challenging Case, CRT 2016 Top 15 Abstracts Award, CRT 2017 Top 30 Abstracts Award, CRT 2018 Best Structural Case, CRT 2018 Best Peripheral Case, CRT 2018 Best Complex Coronary Case, ASE Abstract Presenter Grant 2015, ACC Interventional Council Grant 2017 and Focus on Excellence Award at Christiana Care.

He serves on multiple leadership committees in the ACC including the ACC Interventional Section Leadership Council, ACC Structural Heart Disease, ACC CHIP (Complex High-risk Indicated Patients), ACC Interventional Council Communication, and ACC Patient Navigator Program Working Groups. He is recurrent faculty in many national and international meetings including ACC, CRT, SCAI, TCT, and TVT.

He is the leading author of 55 manuscripts in addition to being a co-author of the book “Land Mark Clinical Trials in Cardiology.” He is the leading author of multiple book chapters including Topol’s Textbook of Interventional Cardiology and The PCR-EAPCI Interventional Cardiovascular Medicine Textbook.
