Zahra Fahmi received her bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering at Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran (2007-12). For her final undergraduate project she worked on network creation games in Modern Algorithms group, led by Dr. Mohammad Ali Safari. She worked on simulating a handicap signalling model for her summer project at Southampton University, UK, under Prof. Seth Bullock’s supervision. Then she worked as lead software engineer for 2 years at Querix Ltd., UK (2012-14). As a side-project she was collaborating with Dr. Karen Lipkow to investigate the adaptation systems of E. coli chemotaxis by simulating the protein cluster formation in E. coli. She is now a PhD student in Dr. Karen Lipkow’s group at Babraham Institute, Cambridge University, and her project is focused on simulating the 3D structure of genome in budding yeast.
