Zoltán Rihmer, MD, Ph.D., DSc, is a Professor of Psychiatry at the Department of Clinical and Theoretical Mental Health and Department of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy, Semmelweis Medical University, Budapest.
Since 2007 he is a professor of psychiatry at the Department of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy, and director of the Laboratory for Suicide Research and Prevention at the National Institute of Psychiatry and Addictions, Budapest. His special interest is the clinical and biological aspects of mood and anxiety disorders, with particular regard to the prediction of treatment response and prevention of suicide.
Dr. Rihmer is a board member of the Hungarian Psychiatric Association and a member of the Presidency of the Hungarian College of Neuropsychopharmacology, Association of European Psychiatrists, Task Forces of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, World Federation of Society of Biological Psychiatry and of the Executive Committee of the European College of Neuropsychopharmacology.
