Description:
Experts in the field will provide updates on infertility diagnosis and treatments, as well as common reproductive endocrine conditions such as PCOS, endometriosis and male fertility. Unique and engaging topics will be covered such as addressing the changing political climate and effects on reproductive medicine, addressing LGBTQIA+ patient care, navigating difficult patient conversations, recognizing dietary effects and recreational substance use in fertility patients, and helping high-risk obstetrical patients who desire pregnancy. Symposium participants will become familiar with continually evolving reproductive technologies and adjunct treatments in supporting patients to parenthood.

Learning Objectives:

• Navigate difficult conversations with patients who experience diminished ovarian reserve or recurrent pregnancy loss
• Diagnose and treat patients with PCOS who are and who are not trying to conceive
• Implement strategies and low-cost treatments to navigate infertility patients/treatments in your own clinic
• Safely and appropriately utilize ovulation induction medications
• Learn best practices for caring for the LGBTQIA+ population
• Evaluate and identify the infertility patient who has high risk medical issues and know when to refer
• Counsel patients on the birth defect risk associated with fertility treatments
• Apply hands-on simulation to perform intrauterine insemination procedure in practice
