Dr. Erik Mazur hails from Houston, Texas. He spent his college years in Ohio before returning to Houston to complete medical school, a residency in obstetrics and gynecology, and a fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility along with a Master of Science. He is board certified in both obstetrics and gynecology (Ob/Gyn) and reproductive endocrinology and infertility (REI).
Dr. Mazur’s research interests include progesterone receptor signaling and uterine receptivity. He has a special interest in reproductive aging and options for fertility preservation. Dr. Mazur has presented his work at international meetings, published in peer reviewed journals, and has recently authored a chapter on uterine function in the definitive text on human reproductive physiology, Knobil and Neill’s Physiology of Reproduction.
